I fractured my 5th metatarsal and was given the option to wear this as opposed to a hard cast.I also went with this because I can remove it to shower, dress etc. I am also claustrophobic and the hard Cast was not working for me. I've been wearing it for about 7 weeks, and it's very comfortable. I always have to wear a long sock with it, or pants because it gets itchy against the bare skin. Sometimes the stabilizer bars on either side get a little tight on my leg. Other than that, this has made it much easier to deal with my injury.
